When selling luxurious apartments and townhouses off the plan, you need a display suite that embodies the exceptional level of fit and finish that potential customers expect.

That’s one key reason boutique property developer Sunkin Property Group chose Modularity by Rendine Constructions to deliver its stunning new suite at Highett Common, a 9.3-hectare development in Melbourne’s south-east.

Another is the inherent speed of our patented Modularity system – Sunkin handed us a design brief in August 2022, and we handed them keys to the 300 sq m display suite less than eight months later.

That speed, combined with our precise construction methodology, plus a fully bespoke interior fitout, provides the best demonstration yet that with Modularity, you really can have it all.

The custom-designed Highett Common display suite comprises seven modular sections, all fabricated in our Geelong-based factory and individually transported to the pre-prepared site in Highett. There, we assembled the modules, connected services and added ancillaries including decking, ramps, landscaping, paving and a car parking area.

The bespoke design incorporates an undercover entry and central reception area, plus a sales suite on one side including large skylights and a mini cinema. On the other side, customers can walk through typical apartment and townhouse configurations including kitchen, bathroom and living areas. The suite also incorporates wall-mounted AV display screens, and has a light-filled ambience thanks to a number of floor-to-ceiling windows.

Behind the scenes are a kitchenette and storage areas for employees, plus all-ability amenities for customers’ use.

Every fixture and fitting needed to meet the same exacting standards as the apartments and townhouses being constructed by Sunkin in the adjacent development, says Project Manager Ben Vawdrey.

“We do a lot of modular construction in the commercial and education space that’s all about function. With this display suite, we’re proving modular can also be bespoke and luxurious,” he says.

“This was probably the most detailed project I’ve worked on. We’ve previously delivered a similar display suite for the Gen Fyansford project in Geelong. That was a land sales office, so it was less detailed than this project.

“Sunkin are all about quality and they want to show the customers exactly what they will be buying. So that’s what we gave them.

“It's something else for our repertoire and certainly shows the level of finishing and standard of product that we're capable of.”
